The Meteoric Echo Monster (dual-modulation delay/chorus/vibrato/boost/noise-maker)
The Meteoric Echo Monster is too expansive & ferocious to be contained to a short blurb, but I’ll give it a try. The M.E.M. is an analog-voiced delay with dual modulations, a boost, a momentary mode, & noise-makers. The massive depth of the modulation along with the Dry Kill switch means it can create many other effects like chorus, vibrato, double-tracking, & lo-fi tape simulation. The pressable noise-making knobs open up endless possibilities for wild, unpredictable noise creation using the delay time & 8 LFO waveforms including 2 random waveforms. It’s the kind of pedal you’ll lose track of time while playing/creating with it.

The Meteoric Echo Monster is a gruesome yet magical creature. In short, it’s an analog-voiced delay pedal with near-zero latency to 1 second of delay time, dual modulation with extreme depth & time, a boost, momentary delay mode, & noise maker. But a lot of its fun comes from its deeper functions & quirks.
Firstly, a ton of tweaking of the filter section resulted in beautifully organic & gooey delay repeats which can be set with an internal switch to “Echo” or “Delay” to decide if they are cleaner or more tape-ish (progressively warmer each repeat). The primary modulation has speeds from 40ms to 20 seconds as well as 8 waveforms & depth that can stretch a crazy +/- 5 octaves (basically record-scratch glitches to guttural growls). A 2nd subtler modulation can duel with the first to make some trippy polyrhythmic warbling. One of our favorite features is the random waveforms (both square & sine) for a unique chorus, subtle double-tracking, or endless unpredictable pitch-bends. You can even make each repeat a different, random pitch if you dial in Depth & Time right! To get even more creative with it, you can use our light-sensitive expression pedal, the Luma Express, to control Time. This turns light into a custom modulator. A Dry Kill switch mutes your dry signal opening up possibilities like vibrato or running synths/drums through to get some lo-fi sweetness. Additionally, the Voice knob can wrap your signal in a heated blanket & send it to bed on a sea of marshmallows.
Enough talk about softer music—what about ROCK n’ ROLL?! Well that’s another area this monster really kills. With a classic boost & a momentary mode (repeats only trigger while pressing the footswitch), this makes for a perfect pedal for harder styles of music & a great “always-on” pedal for the front of your chain since the repeats hit harder & clearer with dirt after them. Delay can be difficult to pair with harder music because distortion + delay often equals mush. But with momentary mode, you can sprinkle in delay only when you want—even just for singular notes. Using the ext. jack, you can even make your own remote switcher to activate repeats & mount it anywhere you want (like on your guitar!). We use a lighter footswitch for the momentary delay side which can be pressed super fast. If your foot is fast enough, it turns your Echo Monster into a manual granular delay.
One of the reasons it’s called the Echo Monster not Echo Teddy Bear is the 2 press-able noise-making knobs that can range from rhythmic thumping using the LFOs to all-out banshee shrieks. The 3rd press-able knob is tap tempo for the LFO speed. See the full manual for even more hidden tricks & features like the internal limiter switch & effect insert.

The Meteoric Echo Monster lives inside a durable yet beautiful sand-texture enclosure with pure aluminum knobs, gold-plated jacks, and a custom solid brass serial number plate. While supplies last, Hangman fx custom LED lenses contain fragments of rare artifacts inside them related to the pedal’s name. The MEM’s lens contains pieces of real meteorite from the Campo del Cielo crater field in Argentina. This meteor was formed about 4.5 billion years ago at the birth of our solar system, & exploded into our atmosphere about 4,000 years ago.
