Hangman fx began with the desire to create specific sounds that couldn't quite be found in existing offerings & the fusion of two passions—music & building things. After years of designing, tweaking & Frankensteining hundreds of circuits & finally finding those delicious saught-after tones, we figured others might want them too! & as the big purple dinosaur taught us, sharing is caring. With the help of some great friends, an incredible online DIY community, & local small businesses, Hangman fx was born. All Hangman fx pedals are assembled right here in Los Angeles, CA. They are very much hand-made boutique works of art, from the custom LED lenses to hand-wiring & even drilling & screenprinting enclosures ourselves. For anything we can’t do or create in-house, we utilize the talent & ingenuity of small businesses in the U.S. of A. as much as possible. Don’t forget to check out our Pinkman Special Editions which are vibrant pink versions of our pedals; 20% of the total cost is donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. You get an awesome Pink special edition pedal and get to help save kids’ lives—what a deal!

These artifacts are sourced from reputable sellers that provide authentication as well as information about where & how the item was acquired. Although these artifacts can be extremely expensive in large quantities, we use such small fragments in each LED that they don’t add any significant cost to our pedals. They only add to the existential, visceral, life-changing experience of playing a Hangman fx pedal.
Since these artifacts are indeed rare, & hand-making the lenses is quite a task, they will only be included in the first 1 or 2 runs of each new Hangman fx pedal. This is a “while supplies last” situation, so get em’ while they’re get-able!

Pinkman pedals are identical to our standard versions other than the gorgeously gaudy enclosure color.
For each Hangman fx Pinkman Special Edition pedal sale, 20% of the total cost will be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

MAKE SURE TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT POTENTIOMETER VALUE!
The StompExpress DIY Kit allows you to build a StompExpress footswitch into any pedal build you want to replace any knob you want. It’ll appear to be a simple bypass footswitch at first look, but minds will blow when they realize the footswitch itself is pressure sensitive & controls a parameter of the pedal!
With just a single button & LED (both able to be externally mounted), it has a surprising amount of options. You can invert the motion if you want the expression to go the opposite way. You can change the motion curve of the footswitch (this helps it work better on any given knob you want to replace, whether it’s A, B, or C taper). Lastly, you can set a custom window. For instance, if you love how a knob sounds from 10%-60%, you don’t have to modify the circuit, you can simply set that window right on The StompExpress & it’ll even save it for next time.
Only requiring about 25mA of power, you can easily steal power from whatever project you’re modding. An add-on Power PCB is even included to create the 5V if your project doesn’t already have 5V available. It also includes a heavier spring that is more suited for foot use (if you want to use it with your hand, let us know & we can provide a lighter-weight footswitch).
This is truly a one-of-a-kind mod to add to your pedal projects! & if you really love it & want to produce a large quantity of pedals with the StompExpress inside them, contact us for bulk pricing.
